There are also less common forms of diabetes, often grouped under the category of "other" types of diabetes.
MODY (Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young)
LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults)
Secondary Diabetes resulting from another medical condition or treatment, such as:
- Pancreatitis
- Cystic fibrosis
- Cushing’s syndrome
- Steroid-induced diabetes
- Post-organ transplant diabetes
- Drug- or Chemically-Induced Diabetes
Although these types are less common, careful management is essential to reduce the risk of complications.
